The awards dinner for the 2026 Proptech of the Year will be held at The Ivy, Sydney, next July 2, the association has announced.
The 2026 Awards mark a significant evolution for the sector’s premier recognition program, featuring new categories and a streamlined criteria designed to reflect the industry’s rapid growth in areas such as sustainability, AI and housing affordability.
Popular categories Proptech To Watch, Residential Proptech of the Year and Commercial Proptech of the Year will feature only nominations of the Board, based on the quality of entries in other categories. Last year, members could enter.
Companies/members may enter more than once. However, a service or product submission may be entered only once. This is to avoid the same entry appearing in multiple categories.
Entry will be free and restricted to financial members of Proptech Australia.
Proptech Australia President, Kylie Davis, stated: "This will be our sixth annual awards, and we have seen the quality of entries improve dramatically year over year. They demonstrate the crucial role our members play in advancing the real estate and construction sectors.
“For 2026, we’ve listened to our members and refined the process to ensure we are capturing and celebrating the absolute forefront of proptech innovation."
Key Dates and New Venue
Entries for the 2026 Proptech Awards will open on Monday, February 2, and will close on Sunday, May 3. The criteria for the awards will be available from February 2.
The year’s achievements will culminate in a spectacular gala dinner held at a magnificent new, restyled location, The Ivy, Sydney, on Thursday, July 2, 2026. This premium venue promises an exceptional setting for celebrating the industry's highest achievers.
Building on 2025 Success
The new awards build on the success of the 2025 program, which saw a record 167 entries. Last year’s major winners set a high bar, including:
Start-Up Proptech of the Year: Build Buddy
Scale Up Proptech of the Year: Archistar
Established Proptech of the Year: Cotality (formerly CoreLogic)
Residential Proptech of the Year: Tapi
Commercial Proptech of the Year: Avenue Bank
"We look forward to seeing the ingenious solutions our members bring forward this year,” said Ms Davis. “Proptech is tackling major societal issues, and the 2026 Awards will once again highlight those companies driving significant, positive change across Australia and New Zealand.”
